A hand-sculpted ceramic ring shaped as a five-petal flower, its surface alive with amber, saffron, and burnt-orange veining radiating from a deep moss-green center. Each ridge was pressed and painted by hand, so no two pieces carry the same pattern of light and line.

ON THIS WORK
A poppy holds its color for one bright day before the petals fall. This ring was made to hold that color longer, fired into ceramic and traced in pigment so the amber veins remain exactly as the hand placed them.
The flower face sits wide on the finger, an open bloom rather than a bud. The saffron and orange lines follow the natural grain of a real petal, pressed into the clay before the glaze went on. At the center, a dark green gathering of stamens anchors the whole composition in something organic and still.
Wearing it is a small act of attention to what blooms briefly and deserves to be remembered.
